2018 celebrates the 10TH ANNIVERSARY of Afterglow. Patrons will once again be able to walk into the legendary Sear Sound for exclusive demo sessions by some of pro audio's most prestigious equipment manufacturers and watch and listen to a performance being recorded live.

  This year we are excited to present experimental multi-instrumental artist, EMILY WELLS performing and being recorded live as she creates lush tones and melodies on various instruments that include vocals/vocoder, synths, violin, percussion and more. The recording will be captured direct-to-disk (vinyl) in quadraphonic sound presented by Shinola Audio. This this unique interactive experience is not to be missed.

HISTORY

Founded in 2009, Afterglow has made it's way coast-to-coast starting at New York's Platinum Sound Recording Studios, to San Francisco's Studio Trilogy twice, and back in NYC at Electric Lady, Chung King Studios. In 2014 the AES made its way back to Los Angeles after nearly 10 years. The Standard's rooftop, overlooking scenic downtown has become home to Afterglow when in LA (2014-16) In 2015, Afterglow was held in New York at the gorgeous DiMenna Center for Classical Music. For the secord year in a row (2017-2018), the recording industries premier event is hosted at Sear Sound.
