Afterglow is the premier recording industry after-party that takes place during the Audio Engineers Society (AES) Convention. This year the 141st AES returns to Los Angeles and promises to be bigger than ever. The annual convention is pro audio's largest event on American soil, bringing together music's biggest producers and engineers from around the world.
Originally founded by pro audio retailer Vintage King Audio, Afterglow has made it's way coast-to-coast starting in 2009 at New York's Platinum Sound Recording Studios, to San Francisco's Studio Trilogy twice, and back in NYC at Electric Lady, Chung King Studios. In 2014 the AES Convention made its way back to Los Angeles after nearly 10 years. To celebrate the return, the event was held at The Standard's rooftop, overlooking scenic downtown LA. 2015, Afterglow was held in New York at the gorgeous DiMenna Center for Classical Music.
This year Afterglow will beheld high above the city on the famous rooftop of The Standard, Downtown LA hotel once agian after rave reviews.
The event is a chance to rub elbows with the best and brightest producers, engineers and gear makers in the industry. After days on the convention center floor, come celebrate with an amazing night.
Please join Audio Engineers Society, Vintage King Audio, Gearslutz, Focal Press, AVID, The Recording Connection, Barefoot Sound and more, on Friday, September 30, 2016, for a cocktail hour of music, complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres, as we close out another amazing AES convention. #aesafterglow
